Frequently Asked Questions

  • Please fill out and submit your client application form. Once I've received it, I will send you a link to book our virtual meetup on your preferred date and time. We hop on a free virtual discovery call and talk through the process and any potential questions you might have.

  • You will need (ideally high quality) photos that you want to show on your website and your website copy. We can source lifestyle and mood photos to fit the website aesthetic. However, you will need 2-3 high quality portrait images.

If you don't have copy for your website yet, I provide you with a website content planner and give you guidance on what to write. I'm also happy to refer you to some wonderful copywriters.

  • Yes, 100% - this is absolutely critical for usability and your Google ranking.

  • Absolutely! I will show you how to do this during our handover. You will also receive a recording which you can always refer back to help you build out the content on your website.

  • Website hosting is a service that allows you to post your website onto the Internet - think of it like the “land” or space where your website live.

In this case, Squarespace is your website host (a platform that provides the services needed for your website to be viewed in the Internet) and you will need to purchase a hosting plan in order to launch your site (see Squarespace Hosting Fees).

However, this is something we go over during our consulation and before your website goes live.

  • If you don’t have an existing Squarespace account, I will set you up with a new account on my end. You will then be added to the account and provided with instructions on how to add your credit card details to pay for your Squarespace plan.

If you already have a Squarespace website, I can work off your existing account. Instructions will be provided on how to add me as a user.

  • If you do not wish to purchase your domain through Squarespace, you will need to purchase your own domain name and provide me with the permissions to access the account in order to redirect it to your new website.

I recommend GoDaddy or Reg365 as the one of the most affordable and reliable providers who also integrate well with Squarespace.

With that said, Selful Design Studio is not responsible for server downtime, software issues or any other compatibility issue that may arise after the launch of the site from your hosting or domain provider.

  • Payments are broken into two parts. There is a 50% non-refundable deposit that needs to be paid up front in order to secure your booking, and the 50% remainder that can be paid on the end date OR when the project is complete (whichever comes first).

  • No. All deposits are non-refundable as it is my way of securing your spot in the queue. I book projects several months ahead of time, and scheduling ensures that I give all of my clients the proper amount of time that a project deserves.

As a result, I turn away clients for your reserved time slot. If you back out of the project, you may leave an empty spot that could have been given to another project.

The deposits ensure that clients are serious about moving forward with the project.

  • You may be entitled to a Website Grant of  €2,500 from your local enterprise office. This is a fantastic opportunity for any business. More information on that here.

  • Yes, absolutely. The final price will vary depending on the complexity of the project and features required.

If you are interested in more information or a quotation, feel free to fill out the Application Form and provide as much detail as possible as to what kind of website you envision.

  • Yes! I have over 7 years experience of working in Shopify - leading ecommerce platform. I generally use Shopify for ecommerce project.

However, adding ecommerce option to Squarespace website is something I’m happy to provide as well.
